Principal's Message

Welcome to John Knox Christian School. JKCS is an interdenominational, parent supported school where learning compliments the Christian home.

Established by Christian families in 1959, JKCS moved to new facilities in 1995 located in a beautiful wooded setting in East Oakville. These facilities include 17 classrooms as well as an art room, music room, computer lab, resource room, and gymnasium. JKCS currently has 383 students from JK to grade 8.

The School’s mission is to equip children for service in God’s world through a Christ-centered education. Our challenging curriculum integrates Christian values while meeting or exceeding Ontario Ministry of Education’s requirements.

Subjects include Bible, language arts, math, science, computer studies, French, social studies, music, physical education with intramural and interschool sports, art, instrumental and vocal music. A resource center is also available to serve children with learning disabilities as well as those who could benefit from enrichment.

Students are taught by dedicated, and highly qualified, Christian teachers, the majority of whom are certified either by the Ontario College of Teachers or the Ontario Christian School’s Teachers Association. Our goal is to help each student reach their full potential as well as understand that Jesus Christ is Lord of all creation.
