Curriculum - The Library

The library is equipped with hundreds of books for student reading, research, enrichment and enjoyment and is staffed by Pam Forbes, our full-time volunteer librarian. Pam has read each book present in the library to ensure it meets a standard of purity and innocence consistent with the Word of God and in line with our school's mission and values.

Library use is a privilege. Students visit the library once per week with their classmates.

Borrowing privileges per grade are as follows:
Junior Kindergarten: 1 book per week
Senior Kindergarten: 1 book per week
Grade One: 1 book per week
Grade Two: 2 books per week
Grade Three: 2 books per week
Grade Three: 2 books per week
Grade Four: 2 books per week
Grade Five: 2 books per week
Grade Six: 3 books per week
Grade Seven: 4 books per week
Grade Eight: 4 books per week

Description of materials and length of time allowed to be taken out:
Simple books: 1 week
Magazines: 1 week
Comics: 1 week
Junior Fiction: 3 weeks
Fiction: 3 weeks

Encyclopedias are not allowed outside of the school or classroom
